Debate and Public Speaking Club

Debate and Public Speaking Club seeks to equip members with the essential knowledge, skills and values through engaging speaking and debating activities.

Throughout our CCA sessions, members delve into speech preparation techniques and are introduced to the use of appropriate voice quality to support their speech. Emphasizing creativity and individual expression, members learn to craft compelling speeches that resonate with diverse audience. We foster an environment that values openness and empathy towards differing viewpoints, encouraging rigorous research and collaborative discussions among peers to strengthen argumentation skills.

Recognising the importance of teamwork, members are given ample opportunities to collaborate effectively in teams, promoting mutual learning and growth. In addition, members have the privilege to present during school events, gaining valuable public speaking experience.

Join us as we cultivate confident speakers and informed debaters ready to make meaningful contributions both within our club and beyond.
