SwimSafer Programme
SwimSafer Programme
Swimming is part of the PE curriculum. Students will acquire basic swimming skills, water safety awareness and gain water confidence. By the end of the programme, students would have gone through 8 swimming lessons. Each of the 8 lessons in the SwimSafer Programme will last for 1.5 hours. Qualified swimming coaches will conduct the swimming lessons at a Swimming Complex. Teachers will accompany the students and ensure their safety. Those who have attained SwimSafer Stage 1 proficiency before attending this programme will learn the skills for the next stage.
At the end of the course, each child will be tested and only those who pass both the theory and practical tests will be awarded the e-Certificate.
Retrieval of SwimSafer 2.0 e-Certificate
When the student has successfully passed both the Practical and Theory components of the SwimSafer stage he/she is assigned, parents will receive an email from FileSG with the transaction ID. Students would have indicated their parents’ email and contact number when they logged in to attempt their Theory Component https://go.gov.sg/sstheory at home.
Once the theory quiz is completed and you have received the email from FileSG, please kindly follow the steps below to retrieve the e-certificate from the FileSG webpage.
You will need to select the “Retrieve without Singpass” option. You will not be able to retrieve the file if you are logging in or already logged in with your own Singpass.
Non-Singpass Retrieval
-
Enter the Transaction ID and select submit.
-
Transaction ID can be found in the issuance notification email (subject: Your SwimSafer Certificate is ready) sender : SportSG (via FileSG) -no-reply@file.gov.sg
-
-
You will be presented with two options. Please select option (2) “Retrieve without Singpass”
-
If you do not see this “Retrieve without Singpass” option, it is likely that your document was issued without a valid mobile number. Please submit the following FormSG (https://go.gov.sg/ssreport) to update with a valid mobile number.
-
Do not select Option (1) "Log in with Singpass" as it is only for recipients / children above 15 years old with a Singpass account. Logging in using the parents’ Singpass account will not be linked to recipient / child account.
-
-
After selecting Option 2 “Retrieve without Singpass”, you will be required to verify the recipient’s identity with the following information:
-
Certificate Holder’s NRIC/FIN
The Certificate Holder is your child’s name that is shown in the issuance email under Recipient Name.
-
Certificate Holder’s DOB
If there is an error verifying, it is likely that an incorrect date of birth was registered for your child’s SwimSafer assessment. Please submit the following FormSG (https://go.gov.sg/ssreport) with your child’s correct date of birth for ActiveSG to refresh and send a new email as well as transaction ID to retrieve your child’s e-certificate.
-
If the information is accurate, you will be prompted to select how you would like to receive a 6-digit one-time password (OTP) verification either through the registered email or mobile number SMS entered on the theory quiz. Enter the OTP received to proceed to retrieve your document or download the recipient / your child’s e-certificate.
Parents also can refer to the FileSG SwimSafer 2.0 e-Certificate retrieval video for reference.
Do note that the SwimSafer 2.0 participant e-certificate download option previously available on the ActiveSG app is now no longer in use.
For any issues related to retrieving e-certificates, including missing theory/practical results or incorrect details, please submit concerns via the FormSG link.
